About Me:

I'm Anthony, but everyone calls me Tony T for short. Nobody including myself really knows what the extra "T" stands for, but it has different meanings to different people. I run a pretty busy life besides Motivators. I like to go to the gym 5 times a week or so to "work on my fitness". I also play on two hockey teams, and bartend on the weekends at a local bar. What can I say, I like to stay busy. I love music, mainly Pearl Jam, but will listen to anything. I love movies as well, but with my schedule I never really get to sit and watch any. I'm a big sports fanatic (as most guys are) and I love to watch the Islanders and Mets (I don't think I'll see a championship before I die). I also work at Motivators (obviously), but that's me in a nutshell!

About Me:

I am 25 years old and have been working here at Motivators for over three years. After graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Organizational Communications and Interpersonal Communications I found a home here as well as my husband (he works in the IT Department). I am the youngest of 4 and have 3 nieces and a nephew; I love them all to pieces!

My Likes:

  • William O'Shea, the hubby... yea I like him a lot.
  • I LOVE CAKE! It's my one vice and I am more than OK with it.
  • I wear flip flops until my feet freeze off.
  • I am a sucker for puppies - who isn't - but to an unhealthy degree.
  • I am always down for a fun game night or just spending time with friends.
  • Writing is a recent interest for me - it helps me clear my mind and vent, plus it's nice to be able to look back on what has happened either good or bad.
  • I also like hosting parties and cooking for people.
  • William has made me a METS and Giants fan, but my favorite sport to play is soccer.
  • And of course my family is the best and I am very lucky to have them.
Survey Questions:

If you were a junk food, what would you be? Doritos- Ranch.

Anthony Zuaro

Anthony Zuaro
Graphic Designer

About Me:

I am 28 years old and getting younger by the minute. Well, not really but I think that one day Frank Sinatra's ‘Young at Heart' will be the song that best describes me and my life. I try to find the fun and laughter in everyday life and I would like to think that I will always maintain the spirit of a kid that just wants to have fun, regardless of how old I get. For now, I don't know which song would describe me best, but I can tell you that I am extremely happy and extraordinarily lucky to have such a wonderful and beautiful girlfriend to brighten each of my days, and I have been blessed with a great job that allows me to express my creativity in a variety of ways, which is all I could have ever asked for. These two things are my livelihood and I am very thankful that I can wake up every morning and not only love what I do, but then be able to come home to someone who makes you feel like you hit the jackpot every night.

I am very much into playing and watching sports, and I take pride in my dedication to my favorite teams. I grew up loving the New York Mets and the Buffalo Bills and will always continue to stand and cheer for these teams. (Now you know why I am proud of my dedication to these teams, rather than any pride stemming from the teams accomplishments) I also very highly value the companionship of good friends and I enjoy getting together with them, even if it is just for sitting around and watching some TV. I admit, I watch a lot of television, but I would like to think that it is okay because I make sure to stick to quality television. Not to mention, any kind of programming I watch can sort of be construed as research or study for a future video project because you can always learn from what's out there, whether it's an editing technique used in a show you're watching, or even just developing an idea based on something you saw on a commercial. I also have a good idea of what goes into a television or movie production, so I can appreciate many of the things that I see on a different level than the way some others may see it. One of the best examples of this would be any Disney or Pixar production, as most of the time I am a sucker for those movies regardless of the plot because of how impressive the animation always is. But all that aside, I will now list my favorite television shows in no particular order because I think you can tell a decent amount about a person from their choice of television shows.

My Likes:

  • LOST
  • Arrested Development
  • Futurama
  • The Simpsons
  • South Park
  • Curb Your Enthusiasm
  • Scrubs
  • Three Sheets
  • I Bet You
  • Top Chef
  • Flight of the Conchords

Honorable Mentions:

  • Heroes, Man vs. Wild, Good Eats, Iron Chef America, Hell's Kitchen (how could you not love Gordon Ramsey?)

Survey Questions:

What TV Character do you best relate to and why? Dr. Perry Cox from Scrubs. I'm not saying I hate everyone and everything but I definitely find myself rolling my eyes at the unnecessary ceremonies of everyday life, such as answering questions about what I'm eating, having to pretend that I'm just as excited about your birthday as you are, discussing what I did with my weekend despite that fact that you don't really care and I don't want to summarize it. Aaaannd by the by, I like to rant about things for an endless amount of time whether or not you care to listen. (true story)

If you could be any TV Character, who would it be and why? Probably Sayid from LOST. I've been a fan of a lot of shows and a lot of characters, but Sayid has to take the cake because he is extremely intelligent, can basically fix anything, knows when someone is lying to him, is courteous and polite, and speaks better English than most Americans. Plus he's bad ass, you definitely don't want to get on Sayid's bad side.

What piece of technology can you not live without? Considering the nature of my job, I would have to say a computer and everything that goes with it.

Which is the better unofficial holiday - St. Patrick's Day or Cinco de Mayo? St. Patrick's Day! I guess both of them are supposed beer drinking holidays, but for one I'm half Irish, for two, my favorite color is green, and for three, you can usually find green beer at most St. Patrick's Day celebrations. The good ones anyway.

If you were an answer on Jeopardy, what would your question be? ? This half-Irish 28 year old graphic artist wishes he was Sayid, yet acts like Dr. Cox.

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be? I was Bender from Futurama for Halloween one year, if only I had pictures. (Somewhere out there they exist).

What would your superhero power be? Absorbing other people's superhero power (I don't care if other people said it too).

About Me:

OK, so if I had to describe myself in one word, I would have to say "shopaholic". I mean it is like therapy for me. Whenever I am mad, upset, or just plain old sad, shopping just lifts my spirits like nothing else can. What are my favorite things to shop for? Definitely I would have to say purses, shoes, and perfume! My husband swears that I love my bags more that I love him. Oh it is like a vicious cycle - when I buy one thing, I end up buying everything else that goes with it. I don't know what to do with myself anymore, so I am trying to stay away from any sort of shopping center whatsoever. But I have to admit is is tough, especially since our offices are just a block away from my favorite department store.

Anyhow, enough about my obsessions. Some of my other likes are cooking (I love to feed people, I guess I take after my mom!), watching good epic movies or any movie with Mel Gibson for that matter (I must have watched Braveheart over 400 times), hanging out with the people I love (my husband, family, and friends), listening to good music and dancing.

Age: 29, and will be from now on (this year I celebrated my last birthday, as you can tell, I am afraid of getting older)

About Me:

A long and winding road has brought me to Motivators; I'm very happy that this is where I am right now. I've made some great friends, learned many new skills, and met my wife. I am having a great time living with Mrs. O'Shea (aka Laurie, Motivators Sales Department Supervisor).

My Likes:

  • TV Shows - The Wire, LOST, Dexter, Mad Men, The Office, The West Wing, Arrested Development, Scrubs, South Park

  • Books - From thought-provoking (Ayn Rand) to fun and easy (Rowling's Harry Potter series)... and everything in between (Tom Clancy, Anne Rice, Dostoevsky). Currently reading Stephen King.

  • Music - A wide variety, with Radiohead at the top. The version of "Videotape" on "Live from the Basement" is nothing short of amazing.

  • Sports - Giants, Mets, Islanders are the real teams I follow. I'll root for an exciting basketball team here and there, but it's mainly those three.

Survey Questions:

If you could be any TV Character, who would it be and why? Dexter... doing the good work

What piece of technology can you not live without? The internet... can never be bored when you have an internet connection.

If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Laurie's baked ziti.

Which is the better unofficial holiday - St. Patricks Day or Cinco de Mayo? St. Patty's Day... what else would an Irishman say?

What was your favorite non work encounter with Promotional Products? The Mets calendars given out at Shea have been my calendars for two years.

What is your Favorite season? Fall

Michael Jolly

Michael Jolly
IT Department

About Me:

I was born in Queens and went to college at SUNY Buffalo. I'm the computer guy here at Motivators where I dabble in a little bit of everything including, but not limited to, Graphic Design, Photography, Programming, Web Design, and Technical Support. My favorite past times are snowboarding, hockey, and the drums. I'm also a volunteer firefighter where I'm a member of Engine Company 5 in Smithtown. I'm an interior firefighter, ambulance driver, and currently working on driver training on the engine. I like music and short walks on the beach.

And that's me in a nutshell, how did I get in this crazy nutshell??

Survey Questions:

If you could be any TV Character, who would it be and why? Jason Bourne. Although he leads a very conflicted life, he's a trained killing machine (I'm almost there, just a few days of training left). I understand the Bourne trilogy is a movie and not a TV show, however, I own all three movies and I happen to watch them on my TV, which makes him a 'TV Character' in my eyes.

Who was your most influential teacher and why? My drum teacher from high school was one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. He obviously taught me how to play the drums but also how to keep your priorities straight.

What piece of technology can you not live without? My car and my iPod. The car is obvious and the iPod comes with me to work, in the car, snowboarding, and to the gym. I'm not sure what I would do without her.

If you weren't a Motivator, what would you be? If I were not a Motivator, I would probably be an airplane pilot. I love to fly and would love to do it as a profession. If only they could cut down those flight hours and training necessary to become a commercial pilot and just trust me, I know how, I've played all the flight simulators, training complete, now let me in.

Which is the better unofficial holiday - St. Patrick's Day or Cinco de Mayo? St. Patrick's Day. The beers are better because they come from experience. The food is always better from a chef who is ... let's say plump. I'm not sure how to word it, but apply that theory to St. Patrick's day, drinking, and drunk Irish people, then divide by the square root of 7. Need I say more?

What was your favorite non work encounter with Promotional Products? I'm not sure I could pick a 'favorite' experience because lets face it, they're all so much fun when you involve promotional items right? I've always been a fan of the beer glasses with the beer logo printed on them. It's smart advertising, directly to the target demographic.

Who had the better comeback - New Kids on the Block or the Spice Girls? Did either of them ever have a 'comeback' per se? Or was it merely the result of people's infatuation with terrible music manifesting itself in the form of a few unwise CD purchases?

What was your favorite subject in school? Earth Science, Computer Science, and Physics.

What is your favorite season? I like winter and summer equally and for different reasons. I love the winter because I love to snowboard. I like the summer because one of the best parts about living on Long Island is the beaches. I also enjoy playing outdoor sports in the summer months.

Best song to karaoke? Any song that doesn't have words. People get paid to sing, those people are not you, leave it to the professionals... please... for the sake of everyone else in the bar.

Adam Brown

Adam Brown

About Me:

I am, as said best in the movie Frequency, "Bayside Queens, born and bred!" That probably help explains why I have grown to be so unhealthily obsessed with the New York Mets. I'm a SUNY New Paltz graduate with a degree in Media Management. I also love Heroes, the show formerly known as Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother (this makes you pretty familiar with my TiVo). Also I love any movie starring Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell or anyone else that appeared in Anchorman (or is friends with someone that appeared in Anchorman.)

Survey Questions:

Who was your most influential teacher and why? My advisor and professor James Smith in New Paltz. I went through about 3-4 different majors until he guided me over to Media Management. Its not too far away from working with Promotional Products - he suggested working in Promotions would be a good outlet for my creative gene.

What piece of technology can you not live without? Easy one. My laptop. My mobile window to the world.

If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? I don’t think I could live without Chinese food but that's a cuisine and not one specific food. So probably I would go with the all American hot dog.

If you weren't a Motivator, what would you be? Whatever job it is that Kevin Burkhardt has. All I know is he gets paid to travel with the Mets, watch baseball games, and interview baseball players and fans.

Which is the better unofficial holiday - St. Patrick's Day or Cinco de Mayo? Green beer or Mexican beer? Mexican beer, so Cinco de Mayo, plus its 5 days before my birthday.

What is your favorite thing about working for Motivators? Half the company went to New Paltz, it also helps that I get to work with my wonderful girlfriend Sara in Customer Service.

What was your favorite non work encounter with Promotional Products? The LED Mini Fan that announced the beginning of The CW.

What was your favorite subject in school? Creative writing or public speaking.

Best song to karaoke? Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen, just about anything by Queen works really.

Jenn Jimenez

About Me:

Twenty years ago I was born into a crazy family of 2 brothers and 2 sisters- they've shaped me in to who I am today. So have my friends, music, and the ocean. My mom and dad are paid Santa Claus and Misses Claus impersonators during Christmastime. I climb a ladder everyday...onto my bed. I have conquered ninjas, ran from the cops, and came to work late – in my dreams this week. I love weddings mostly for the dancing. I love outer space mostly for the stars. I love the beach for too many reasons to list. I wish I could take Long Island and place it off the coast of Portland, Maine, where I go to school. Besides 8 A.M. classes, my favorite thing to do at school is walk down to the lake at night, build a fire, and watch for shooting stars. Here at home my favorite thing to do is go to Jones Beach for sunset, sit on the sand, and be serenaded by my best friend and her guitar.

My love for writing and painting go hand in hand. I have all these thoughts in my head that are impossible to explain... so if I can't write it, I paint it. I'm easy going and I love adventures. I'll go anywhere. My favorite movie is "Stand By Me," and I think it will be forevermore. I speak when I'm spoken to...until you know me well. My pre-K teacher called me Jabber-Jaws. Once I took an eco-friendly survey that asked what electrical appliances I used most often. I said my computer and my disco ball. Then they asked which one I could live without. I said my computer. And I guess I'm the new intern at Motivators.

Survey Questions:

Which is the better unofficial holiday - St. Patricks Day or Cinco de Mayo? Margaritas, Tacos, Sombreros > Beer, Corn beef, Shamrocks.

What would your superhero power be? Teleportation – There are so many places I want to be at once.

Who was your most influential teacher and why? My Oral Interpretation professor. Warm ups for our presentations including: Yodeling, acting like gorillas and assorted charades. He encouraged me to do an interpretive performance of the song "Stan" by Eminem. It was very out of character for me, but in the end it was an incredible experience.

What is your Favorite season? Living in Maine half of the year has helped me to fall in love with winter. Lying on top of snow covered, frozen lake is beautiful.

Best song to karaoke? I would do anything for Love -Meatloaf

Brandon Berte

Brandon Berte

About Me:

My name’s Brandon. I’m a 24-year-old who grew up on Long Island, and then moved slightly upstate to New Paltz, NY for college. I graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2009; I received my BA in journalism with a concentration in public relations and a minor in psychology. After graduation, I worked and traveled throughout Australia for a year—it was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget. I left behind beautiful landscapes and amazing people. In my spare time I like to practice guitar, listen to music, stare at YouTube for hours, blog, take full advantage of my Netflix subscription, and try to force myself to get on a treadmill or go outside for a jog. I’m a real people-person and love going out for dinner or drinks with friends. In the summer months I try to surf as much as possible.

Survey Questions:

If you were a junk food, what would you be? A Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup—it’s the perfect combination of sweet and salty. It’s basically pure happiness.

What piece of technology can you not live without? I’d be lost without my iPhone. And I do quite literally mean lost (the Google Maps app guides me everywhere).

Which is the better unofficial holiday- St.Patricks Day or Cinco de Mayo? Cinco de Mayo is pretty fantastic. I’ll take any excuse to drink tequila. I’m probably the least Irish person you’ll ever meet. I don’t even own anything green.

What is your favorite thing about working for Motivators? The people are great—everyone here is friendly, patient and cooperative.

About Me:

Hi, My name is Nicholas and I joined the Merchandising Department at Motivators in February 2011. Before becoming a part of the Motivators family, I studied Public Relations at Marist College. Since that time, I would go on to work with famous musicians, design floral arrangements for weddings and compile customer statistics for Weight Watchers. In addition to being a promotional product connoisseur, I am also a freelance writer for a few publications. I tend to be found at the gym, at an arcade or at home catching up with Netflix if I don’t feel like working.
